Ingredients list for Pizza Tart-SK Khazana

  • 1 1/2 cups + for dusting Refined flour (maida)
  • 20 grams Fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Castor sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespo for greasing Oil
  • for brushi Butter
  • 4 tablespoons Pizza sauce
  • 6 tablespoons Mozzarella cheese grated
  • 8-12 Fresh basil leaves


  1. Mix together yeast, castor sugar and 1-2 tablespoons water in a small bowl. Set aside to activate.
  2. Mix together flour, milk powder, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add activated yeast and sufficient water and knead to a soft dough. Add oil and knead again.
  3. Grease a bowl with some oil, place dough in it, cover with a cling film and set aside to prove.
  4. Preheat oven to 180º C.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions, place on a dusted worktop and roll out into thin discs.
  6. Line individual tart moulds with the discs and discard the excess dough. Fill each of them with chickpeas and keep them on a baking tray.
  7. Put the tray in preheated oven and blind bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven, cool, discard the chickpeas and demould.
  8. Brush tart shells with some butter and spread 1 tablespoon pizza sauce in each. Top each with 1½ tablespoons cheese and 2-3 basil leaves.
  9. Transfer them on a baking tray, put the tray in preheated oven and bake till the cheese melts.
  10. Serve hot.
