Ingredients list for Pineapple Fritters
- 1 medium Pineapple peeled and eyes removed
- 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
- a pinch Baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 4 tablespoons Fine sugar
- as required Milk
- to deep fry Oil
- A little Icing sugar
- A little Chocolate powder
Method
- Put refined flour, cornstarch, baking soda, green cardamom powder, fine sugar and sufficient milk in a large bowl and mix well to make a thick batter.
- Heat oil on medium heat in a kadai.
- Cut pineapple into round slices, remove the hard centre portion. They will now resemble doughnuts.
- Put them in the batter and mix so that they are well coated with the batter.
- Gently slide into medium hot oil, agitate the oil over the slices and deep fry till golden.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them on a serving plate and sprinkle icing sugar through a sieve. Now sprinkle chocolate powder through the sieve. Serve hot.
