Ingredients list for Patisapta Pithe

  • 1 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Mawa
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Refined flour (maida)
  • For filling
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Coconut grated
  • 100 grams Khoya/mawa
  • 2 Green cardamom
  • to shallow fry Oil


  1. In a bowl mix together refined flour, semolina, sugar and milk and mix to make a smooth batter.
  2. Keep it aside for six hours.
  3. In another non stick pan boil milk and add sugar, coconut, khoya and cardamoms and keep stirring till a thick kheer is formed.
  4. And keep it aside.
  5. Heat oil in a tawa and pour a laddleful of batter onto it.
  6. Spread it in a thin circular shape let it cook till light brown and then add the prepared kheer in the center and fold it.
  7. Serve hot.
