Ingredients
- 200 grams cottage cheese (paneer), cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 medium tomato, chopped
- 1/2 cup tomato puree
- 2-3 green chillies, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped green capsicum
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Fresh coriander sprig to garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds, onion, salt and ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté till translucent.
- Add tomato, mix well and saute till tomato turns pulpy. Add tomato puree and mix.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes, add green chillies and green capsicum, mix well and saute for 3-4 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix well. Add ½ cup water and mix. Add salt, mix and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
- Add cottage cheese cubes and mix well. Add lemon juice, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve warm.
