Ingredients
- 250 gms cottage cheese (paneer), cut into ½ inch cubes
- 1 cup dried breadcrumbs
- Salt to taste
- Red chilli powder to sprinkle
- ½ cup refined flour
- Red chilli flakes to sprinkle
- Dried oregano to sprinkle
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- Oil for deep frying
- Chaat masala to sprinkle
- Tomato ketchup to serve
Method
- Take bread crumbs in a bowl. Add salt and sprinkle red chilli powder. Mix well.
- Take refined flour in a bowl. Sprinkle red chilli flakes, salt, sprinkle oregano and ginger-garlic paste. Add sufficient water and mix well. Make a medium thin batter.
- Dip each piece of cottage cheese in the prepared batter and roll in the bread crumbs mixture. Add the pieces back in the same batter and roll again in the bread crumbs mixture.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, deep fry the coated paneer pieces till golden and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper. Sprinkle chaat masala and mix well.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
