Ingredients

  • 200 grams readymade paneer tikka
  • 1½ cups whole wheat flour + for dusting
  • 2 tablespoons yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons ghee + for shallow frying
  • Salt to taste 
  • Green chutney for applying
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Chaat masala to sprinkle
  • Salad for serving

Method

  1. Mix whole wheat flour, yogurt, 1 tablespoon ghee and salt in a bowl. Add sufficient water and knead to soft dough. Set aside for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into equal portions, dust some flour and roll out into a small disc.
  3. Spread half a tablespoon of ghee on it and sprinkle dry flour. Give a slit from the centre and roll to form a cone. Flatten, dust some more flour and roll out into a thin disc.
  4. Heat a non-stick tawa, roast the prepared parantha till golden brown on both sides. Drizzle ghee on each side and continue to cook for a few seconds.  Transfer on a plate and crush lightly to separate layers.
  5. Spread some green chutney, place a few pieces of paneer tikka in the centre.
  6. Place some sliced onions on top and sprinkle chaat masala. Fold the sides.
  7. Serve with salad and green chutney.
