Italian cuisine has developed through centuries of social and political changes, with roots stretching to antiquity.  Italian cuisine is simple and a number of dishes having only four to eight ingredients.  They rely mostly on the quality of ingredients rather than elaborate preparation.
Noteworthy changes in Italian cuisine happened with the discovery of the New World and the introduction of potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers and maize, which are now an integral part of this cuisine.  Italian cuisine is known for its regional diversity each with a distinct taste.  This cuisine today is probably one of the most popular in the world.

Ingredients for Pan Pizza-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Readymade pizza dough as required

  • Olive oil for greasi for drizzling

  • Dried mixed herbs to sprinkle

  • Pizza sauce 1/4 cup

  • Mozzarella cheese grated 6 tablespoons

  • Processed cheese grated 6 tablespoons

  • Grilled chicken cut into cubes 100 grams

  • Small yellow capsicums cut into triangles 1/2

  • Small onion quartered and layers separated 1

  • Small green capsicum cut into triangles 1/2

  • Small red capsicum cut into triangles 1/2

  • Button mushrooms sliced 5-6

  • Black peppercorns crushed to taste

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh basil leaves 5-6

  • Black olives sliced 2-3

  • Green olives sliced 2-3

  • Fresh basil sprig 1 to garnish

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Knock back the pizza dough and flatten into a thick disc.

Step 3

Grease an ovenproof pan with some olive oil and keep the disc on it. Drizzle some olive oil and sprinkle some mixed herbs on top.

Step 4

Spread pizza sauce and top with 2 tablespoons mozzarella cheese, 2 tablespoons processed cheese, chicken cubes, yellow capsicum, onion, green capsicum, red capsicum and mushrooms.

Step 5

Drizzle some more olive oil and sprinkle mixed herbs, crushed peppercorns and salt. Top with torn basil leaves, green and black olives, remaining processed cheese, remaining mozzarella cheese and drizzle some more olive oil.

Step 6

Put the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7

Cut into wedges, garnish with basil sprig and serve hot.
