Ingredients list for Palakwale Chawal
- 1 bunch Spinach Leaves shredded
 - 1 1/2 cups Rice soaked
 - 2 tablespoons Oil
 - 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin seeds
 - 1 inch piece Ginger chopped
 - 4-5 Spring onion bulb chopped
 - 2 Green chillies
 - to taste Sea salt
 - 3-4 stalks Spring onion greens chopped
 
Method
- Heat oil in a deep pan. Add cumin seeds. When they begin to change colour, add chopped ginger, spring onions and sauté.
 - Add chopped green chillies and sauté for a minute. Add soaked rice and continue to sauté for some more time.
 - Add three cups of water, sea salt and mix. Add chopped spring onion greens and mix.
 - When the water comes to a boil add roughly shredded spinach and mix well.
 - Cover and cook on high heat for two minutes. Then lower heat and cook till the rice is done and all the water is absorbed. Serve hot.
