By Sanjeev Kapoor 31 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Spinach Leaves, Rice Cuisine Indian Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Palakwale Chawal 1 bunch Spinach Leaves shredded 1 1/2 cups Rice soaked 2 tablespoons Oil 1 1/2 teaspoons Cumin seeds 1 inch piece Ginger chopped 4-5 Spring onion bulb chopped 2 Green chillies to taste Sea salt 3-4 stalks Spring onion greens chopped Method Heat oil in a deep pan. Add cumin seeds. When they begin to change colour, add chopped ginger, spring onions and sauté. Add chopped green chillies and sauté for a minute. Add soaked rice and continue to sauté for some more time. Add three cups of water, sea salt and mix. Add chopped spring onion greens and mix. When the water comes to a boil add roughly shredded spinach and mix well. Cover and cook on high heat for two minutes. Then lower heat and cook till the rice is done and all the water is absorbed.
