Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups yogurt whisked
- 2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon msafoetida
- 1 teaspoon split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
- 2 dried red chillies
- Salt to taste
- Fried curry leaves sprig for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida, split skinless black gram and broken dried red chillies and red chilli powder and sauté for a few seconds.
- Add tomatoes and mix well Add salt and toss for 1-2 minutes. Take the pan off the heat and set aside to cool completely.
- Take yogurt in a bowl, add the tomato mixture and adjust salt, mix till well combined.
Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with fried curry leaves sprig and serve chilled.
