Ingredients list for Nut Chikki Munchies
- 1/2 cup Almonds blanched and peeled
- 1/2 cup Cashewnuts
- 1/2 cup Walnuts
- 1/2 cup Sesame seeds (til)
- 1 1/2 cups Jaggery (gur)
- a few strands Saffron (kesar)
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
Method
- Roast the almonds and cashewnuts lightly and chop roughly. Crush walnuts.
- Grease a tray. Melt jaggery in a pan. Add saffron and mix. When the jaggery has melted completely add roasted sesame, cashewnuts, walnuts and almonds and mix well.
- Immediately transfer the mixture onto the greased tray and spread with a rolling pin. Dab some ghee on the surface and cut into squares when still hot.
- When it cools loosen the squares and serve.
