Ingredients list for Mint And Peas Pulao
- 1 1/2 cups Rice
- to taste Green Peas
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 3-4 Cloves
- 2 one-inch Cinnamon
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 1/2 cup Green peas blanched
- 1/2 bunch Fresh mint leaves
- 1/2 cup Fresh coconut scraped
Method
- Pick, wash and soak rice in three cups of water for ten to fifteen minutes. Drain and cook rice in four to five cups of salted boiling water till done.
- Drain again and spread on a large plate to cool. Heat ghee in a kadai and add cumin seeds, cloves and cinnamon. When they begin to change colour, add onions and sauté on medium heat for three to four minutes till light pink.
- Add rice, green peas, fresh mint eaves and coconut and toss to mix well stirring and tossing continuously. Adjust seasoning and continue to sauté for another minute. Serve hot.
