Ingredients list for Milk Poli

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 a pinch Semolina
  • 4 teaspoons Ghee
  • 4 cups Milk
  • 1 1/2 cups Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 4-5 strands Saffron (kesar)

Method

  1. Knead the above ingredients into a firm dough. Roll out into thin puris and deep fry in ghee. Cool and store in airtight container. Boil milk on low heat. When reduced, add sugar and continue to boil slowly.
  2. Remove the milk from heat. Add the puris one by one and let it soak well. Serve in individual bowls, as well-soaked puris tend to stick together. Serve chilled.
