Ingredients for Masale Cha Dudh Recipe

  • Milk 11/2 litres

  • Cashewnuts 5-6

  • Almonds 4-5

  • Pistachios 4-5

  • Sugar 1/2 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Sunflower seeds (charoli/chironji) 1 teaspoon

  • Saffron (kesar) 2-3 strands


Step 1

Chop cashewnuts. Blanch almonds and pistachios in half a cup of boiling water for five minutes.

Step 2

Drain, cool, peel and cut into slivers. Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan over low heat stirring at regular intervals. When the milk is reduced to half the original quantity, stir in sugar.

Step 3

When sugar dissolves, add cardamom powder, cashewnuts, almonds, pistachios, sunflower seeds and saffron. Simmer for five minutes and remove from heat. Serve warm or cold.
