Blanch almonds and pistachios in half a cup of boiling water for five minutes. Drain, cool, peel and cut into slivers. Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan over low heat stirring at regular intervals. When the milk is reduced to half the original quantity, stir in sugar. When sugar dissolves, add cardamom powder, cashewnuts, almonds, pistachios, sunflower seeds and saffron.
