Ingredients list for Marble Cookies
- 1½ cups Refined flour (maida)
- ½ cup Butter
- ½ cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- ½ teaspoon Baking soda
- ¼ cup Chocolate chips dark
- ¼ cup Chocolate chips white
- 1 tablespoon Cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon Milk
- for dusting Refined flour (maida)
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C.
- Cream together butter and castor sugar in a bowl with an electric beater.
- Break in an egg and whisk. Break in remaining egg and vanilla essence and whisk well.
- Sieve together flour and baking soda into the bowl and fold in well.
- Add dark chocolate chips and white chocolate chips and mix well.
- Divide the dough into two and put into two different bowls.
- Add cocoa powder to one bowl and mix. Add milk and mix well.
- Dust the worktop with some flour, take each portion and roll into a thick log. Place the two logs side by side and roll together to make one thick roll.
- Divide the log into equal portions and shape them into cookies. Arrange the cookies on a baking tray place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cool.
- Serve.
