Lauki Aloo Matar Lauki can be tasty too - cook it with potatoes and green peas and enjoy the unique taste This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 10 Dec 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi), Potatoes Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Lauki Aloo Matar 1 Bottle gourd (lauki/doodhi) cut into medium cubes 2 large Potatoes cut into medium cubes 1 cup Green peas 2 teaspoon Oil 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds 2 medium Onions grated 2 teaspoons Ginger paste 1 tablespoon Coriander powder 1/2 tablespoon Cumin powder 1 cup Tomato puree 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder to taste Salt 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped Method Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds and onions and sauté till lightly browned. Add ginger paste and ¼ cup water, mix well and cook till dry. Add coriander powder, cumin powder and tomato puree and mix well. Add turmeric powder and mix. Add red chilli powder, potatoes, bottle gourd and ½ cup water and mix. Add green peas, salt and coriander leaves. Mix well, put the lid on and cook till 2-3 whistles. Open the lid when the pressure reduces completely and serve hot.
