Kathi Roll

Ingredients 

  • 4 whole wheat flour chapattis
  • 150 grams paneer tikka
  • 1 tablespoon oil + for shallow frying 
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ½ tablespoon ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 1 medium tomato finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • A pinch of chaat masala
  • 1 medium green capsicum finely chopped
  • 4 tablespoons chutney mayonnaise

Method

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon oil and butter in a non-stick pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
  2. Add onion and sauté till well browned. Add tomato, mix and cook till it turns soft and pulpy.
  3. Cut paneer tikka into strips, add to the pan along with chilli powder, chaat masala and capsicum, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
  4. Spread 1 tablespoon chutney-mayonnaise on each chapatti. Place a portion of the cooked mixture on one side and roll tightly. Secure with a toothpick.
  5. Heat some oil in another non-stick pan. Place rolls on it and fry till evenly browned from all sides.
  6. Serve hot.
