Ingredients
- 1 tbsp kahwa tea leaves
- 8-9 green cardamoms
- 1 cinnamon stick
- A large pinch of saffron + for garnish
- 5-6 almonds, roughly chopped
- ¼ cup honey
Method
- Crush the green cardamoms in a mortar pestle.
- Add 3 cups water to a deep nonstick pan. Add cardamoms, cinnamon and saffron and allow the water to come to a boil.
- Add the tea leaves, almonds and continue to boil for another minute.
- Add honey and mix well.
- Strain into kettle and pour into individual cups.
- Garnish with saffron strands and serve hot.
