Ingredients list for KAJU KHOYA BESAN LADDOO
- 1/2 cup Cashew nuts , coarsely powdered
- 2 cups Khoya/mawa , grated
- 1 cup Coarse gram flour (besan) (jada besan)
- 1/3 cup Ghee
- 2-3 teaspoons Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto)
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
Method
- Heat ghee in a wide non-stick pan. Add coarse gram flour and mix well. Continuously roast on low heat till it turns golden brown and fragrant.
- Switch the heat off, add the grate khoya and mix it till well combined.
- Add poppy seeds, green cardamom powder, and cashew nuts powder and sauté on low heat for 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer the roasted mixture on to a large bowl and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Add the powdered sugar and mix well with your hand. Take small portions of the mixture and tightly roll it into a ball. This is a laddoo.
- Arrange the laddoos on a serving plate. Serve.
