Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Jamun Lemonade-SK Khazana Recipe

  • Jamun juice 2 cloves

  • Jamuns chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Ice cubes as required

  • Black salt to taste

  • Chaat masala 2 teaspoons

  • Sugar syrup 4 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Fresh mint leaves as required

  • Lemon cut into thin slices 1

  • Drinking soda For topping

Method

Step 1

To prepare each portion, put some ice cubes, black salt, 1 teaspoon chaat masala, 1 tablespoon sugar syrup, ½ cup jamun juice and ½ tablespoon lemon juice in a Boston shaker and shake well.

Step 2

Put some more ice cubes in a tall serving glass, add 8-10 mint leaves, 1 tablespoon chopped jamun and 2-3 lemon slices. Pour the drink in it and top with some drinking soda.

Step 3

Stir well and serve immediately.
