Ingredients 

  • 1 kilogram raw mangoes, peeled and cubed
  • 25 grams asafoetida pieces
  • 250 grams salt
  • 200 grams kashmiri red chilli powder

Method

  1. Put mango cubes in a bowl.
  2. Crush together salt, asafoetida and chilli powder in a mortar and pestle. Add this to the mangoes and mix well.
  3. Transfer into an airtight jar and set aside for about 7 days or till the mangoes leave out moisture.
  4. Serve.
