Ingredients list for Harcha

  • 1½ cups semolina
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • to taste Salt
  • ¾ teaspoon Baking powder
  • 6 tablespoons Melted butter
  • for shallow frying Oil

Method

  1. Mix together semolina, sugar, salt, baking powder and butter in a bowl to make a dough.
  2. Place a portion of the dough in a cookie cutter and spread evenly. It should not be too thin. Similarly, prepare the remaining.
  3. Heat some oil in a non-stick tawa. Place the prepared portions, one by one, and shallow-fry on medium heat till crisp on both the sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Serve hot.
