Ingredients list for Gunpowder Squid Rings
- 2 tablespoons Gun powder
- 6-8 medium Squids cut into rings
- ½ tablespoon Garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Curry leaves chopped
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- for deep-frying Oil
- 1 tablespoon Cornflour/ corn starch
Method
- Take the squid rings in a bowl. Add the garlic paste, curry leaves, lemon juice and salt, mix well and set aside to marinate for fifteen to twenty minutes.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Coat each marinated squid ring with cornstarch and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle gunpowder on top of fried squid rings while still hot.
- Serve hot.
