During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Americans developed a number of new foods.  What characterised the American cuisine is the adaptation of a fusion of multiple ethnic cooking styles. During this period food production and presentation became more industrialised.

Ingredients for Grilled Peach Yogurt Sundae Recipe

  • Peaches halved and seeded 4-5

  • Hung Curd 1 cup

  • Butter 2 tablespoons

  • Almonds 10

  • Walnuts 10

  • Cashewnuts 10

  • Pistachios 20

  • Condensed milk 1/2 cup

  • Honey 3 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat butter in a non stick pan, add peaches and grill them till lightly browned. Crush together almonds, walnuts, cashewnuts and pistachios.

Step 2

Place hung yogurt in a bowl, add condensed milk and mix well. Put this mixture into a piping bag fixed with a star nozzle.

Step 3

Drain the peaches from the pan and keep them on work top to cool. Keeping aside a couple of peach halves, chop the rest roughly and put them into stemmed glasses.

Step 4

Pipe the yogurt-condensed milk over them, drizzle a little honey over each, sprinkle crushed nuts on top. Slice the reserved peach halves and decorate the glasses with them and serve immediately.
