Ingredients list for Fried Chocolate Mango
- 2 cups Chocolate chopped and melted
- for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- 3 Ripe mangoes peeled, cut into wedges and frozen for 2-3 hours
- for deep-frying Oil
- ¼ cup Cornflour/ corn starch
- ¼ cup Rice flour
- + for dusting Refined flour (maida) 1 cup
- ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
- to taste Salt
Method
- Dip the frozen mangoes in the melted chocolate and place on a silicon sheet. Freeze for two to three hours.
- To make the tempura batter, combine the cornstarch, rice flour, refined flour, baking powder and salt and mix lightly. Add one cup ice cold water and whisk lightly to form a thick batter.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Dust the frozen mangoes with flour, dip in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve immediately.
