Ingredients list for Fried Chicken
- 750 grams Chicken with skin cut into 2 inch pieces on the bone
- 1 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- 1/2 tablespoon Paprika powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tablespoon Onion powder
- Juice of 1 lemon
- to taste Salt
- 3 cups Refined flour (maida)
- for deep-frying Oil
Method
- Put the chicken in a large mixing bowl, add crushed peppercorns, paprika powder, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice and salt. Mix well and set aside for twelve hours.
- For the coating, dip the chicken in a bowl of flour, shake off excess, dip it in a bowl of water. Repeat this procedure three times. Shake off any excess flour.
- Heat sufficient oil in a large wok and fry the chicken in hot oil till crisp and golden in colour. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them on serving plate and serve hot.
