Ingredients list for French Toast Pudding
- 1 medium Bread loaf uncut
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 tablespoons Melted butter
- to sprinkle Cinnamon powder
- ½ cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 4 Eggs
- ¼ cup Raisins
- for dusting Icing sugar
Method
- Preheat oven at 180° C.
- Cut the bread loaf into large cubes, place in a baking tray, drizzle butter and sprinkle cinnamon powder and toast in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes.
- Heat milk in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat, add castor sugar and vanilla essence and mix.
- Add eggs, one at time, and whisk well. Strain into a bowl.
- Spread the toasted bread cubes in a glass baking dish. Pour the milk-egg mixture over, sprinkle raisins and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
- Dust with icing sugar and serve.
