Ingredients list for Five Spice Chicken Stir-Fry
- 1 tablespoon Five spice powder
- 4 Boneless chicken breasts ¾ inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1/4 cup + tablespoon Sesame oil (til oil)
- 4-5 cloves Garlic minced
- to taste Salt
- 1 Onion ¾ inch pieces
- 1 Yellow capsicum ¾ inch pieces
- 1 Green apples ¾ inch pieces
- 1/4 cup Spring onions chopped
- 1 1/2 inch pieces Ginger
Method
- Keep the apple pieces in water. Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, one tablespoon sesame oil, five-spice powder, honey, ginger, garlic and salt. Marinate the chicken in above mixture for two hours.
- Heat the remaining oil in a wok. Add the chicken and toss for two to three minutes. Add the onion, capsicum and apple and continue to toss and cook till the chicken is cooked.
- Stir in spring onion and serve hot.
