Ingredients for Fish in Butter Paper Recipe

  • Fish fillets 2

  • Butter paper sheets 4

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Lemons 4

  • Red capsicum , cut into small squares 2 medium

  • Yellow capsicums , cut into small squares 2 medium

  • Green capsicum , cut into small squares 2 medium

  • Brown rice , cooked 2 cups

  • Garlic 16-20 cloves

  • Fresh dill leaves 8-12 sprigs

  • Cream cheese 8 tablespoons

  • Fresh cream 1 cup

  • Lemon 12 slices

Method

Step 1

Spread each butter paper on table top and halve it. Cut them into squares and further cut them into rounds with one set being a little smaller than the other.

Step 2

Halve each fish fillet and place in a large bowl. Add salt, crushed black peppercorns and lemon juice. Add the coloured capsicum squares and mix well and let them marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 190° C.

Step 4

For each parcel, place ½ cup cooked brown rice in the centre of each bigger round piece of butter paper sheet, sprinkle 4-5 garlic cloves and place 1 fish piece over it. Top with some capsicum squares and 2-3 sprigs of dill.

Step 5

Mix cream cheese and cream in a small bowl and mix well. Put some this mixture over the vegetables. Place 3 lemon slices at some distance from each other.

Step 6

Cover with the smaller round and fold the edges of the 2 paper rounds together all around so that there is no opening anywhere.

Step 7

Place the parcels in a baking tray, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes.

Step 8

The paper will get slightly burnt.

Step 9

Bring the tray out of the oven and serve in the paper itself. It should be opened just before eating.
