Ingredients list for Dates and Anjeer Modak
- 1 cup Dates chopped
- 3/4 cup Dried figs chopped
- 2 tablespoons Pistachios
- 2 tablespoons Raisins
- 1/4 cup Almonds
- 2 tablespoons Dried coconut ( khopra) grated
- 2 tablespoons Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto)
- 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Put pistachios, raisins and almonds in a food processor and process to a coarse powder. Add dried coconut, poppy seeds and green cardamom powder and process to a coarse paste.
- Transfer the coarse paste into a large bowl and mix. Take a portion of the mixture and stuff into a modak mould, gently press and demould. *
- Arrange the dates and anjeer modaks on a serving plate and serve.
