Ingredients list for Classic Pound Cake
- 2 cups Refined Flour
- 1 cup (400gms) Condensed Milk
- 1 cup Butter
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 100 grams Almonds sliced
- Icing sugar for dusting
Method
- Preheat oven at 180°C.
- Take Milkmaid in a bowl. Add butter and whisk well.
- Add baking soda and whisk well. Add 75 ml water and whisk again.
- Add refined flour and vanilla essence and whisk well.
- Reserve some almond slices and add remaining in the bowl. Mix well into a smooth batter.
- Pour batter into a silicon mould and tap lightly. Add the reserved almond slices.
- Put the mould in the preheated oven and bake for 25-28 minutes.
- Remove mould from oven and demould the cake. Set aside for ½ an hour.
- Cut into slices, place on a serving platter and dust icing sugar on top.
- Serve.
