Ingredients list for Chocolate Carrot Candies

  • 1 cup dark Chocolate roughly chopped
  • 1 large Carrot grated
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1 cup Vanilla sponge cake small pieces
  • a pinch Green cardamom powder
  • for garnish Sprinklers

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add carrot and sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add sugar and saute for 1-2 minutes or till the sugar melts.
  2. Transfer the carrot along with the syrup into a bowl. Add cinnamon powder, green cardamom powder and cake pieces and mix well.
  3. Boil sufficient water in a non-stick kadai. Put the chocolate in a bowl and place the bowl in the kadai and stir till chocolate melts.
  4. Shape the carrot mixture into elongated balls. Pierce a stick from one end. Coat with the melted chocolate and garnish with sprinklers. Set in the refrigerator for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Arrange on a serving plate and serve.
