Ingredients list for Chicken Vol-au-vent
- 150 grams Boneless chicken breasts cut into small cubes
- 12-16 Vol-au-vent puff pastries
- 1 teaspoon Oil
- 8-10 Garlic cloves chopped
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- to taste Salt
- 5-6 fresh thyme sprigs
- 8-9 Basil leaves chopped
- 2 tablespoons Cream cheese
- for garnishing Parsley sprigs
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add chicken cubes and sauté.
- Add red chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, salt, thyme and basil. Toss well and cook till the chicken is done. Switch off heat, transfer in a bowl and cool to room temperature.
- Add cream cheese and mix well. Stuff this mixture into the vol-au-vent puff pastries.
- Garnish with parsley sprigs and serve immediately.
