Ingredients list for Cheese And Spring Onion Tarts
- 1/2 cup Cashewnut Powder
- 1/3 cup Sugar
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 1 1/2 cups Cream cheese
- 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1/4 cup Glazed cherries
Method
- Preheat oven to 200ºC/400ºF/Gas Mark 6. Roll out pastry dough half inch thickness on a lightly floured surface and using a three-inch biscuit cutter, stamp out twelve roundels from the pastry and line twelve tart tins. Trim the excess dough and press lightly. P
- rick the pastry all over with a fork. Keep the tart tins in the refrigerator for ten minutes. Take the tart tins out of the refrigerator. Blind bake in the preheated oven for fifteen minutes or till the crust is firm. Take them out and set aside. Heat olive oil in a pan, add garlic and sauté for around two minutes. Add spring onions and sauté till translucent.
- Stir in white sauce and mix well. Add spring onion greens and season with salt and white pepper powder. Take it off the heat and fill it in the prepared tarts while they are warm. Sprinkle grated cheese and bake in the preheated oven for another five to six minutes and serve hot.
