By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Jul 2020 in Recipes Veg New Update Bathue ka Saag Main Ingredients Bathua, Cumin seeds Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients 2 cups bathua, washed and chopped 2 tablespoons cumin seeds 1 1/2 cups yogurt Salt to taste 2 teaspoons red chilli powder Method Heat a non-stick pan, add bathua leaves and sufficient water and once the mixture comes to a boil cook for 2-3 minutes. Meanwhile heat another non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and dry roast till fragrant. Transfer into a mortar and pound with a pestle to a coarse powder. Take the yogurt in a bowl and add most of the cumin powder. Add salt and red chilli powder. Switch off the heat and drain bathua leaves in a strainer and press with a ladle to squeeze our excess water. Add cooked bathua leaves to the yogurt mixture and mix well.
