Ingredients for Basundi Pre-Mix - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Milk powder 3 cups

  • Cornflour 6 tablespoons

  • Powdered sugar 1 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Saffron ,a large pinch of + for garnish

  • Pistachios chopped 3 tablespoons + for garnish

  • Almonds chopped 3 tablespoons + for garnish

  • Chironji tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Take milk powder, corn flour, powdered sugar, green cardamom powder, saffron, pistachios, almonds and charoli in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container for upto 21 days.

Step 2

To make the basundi, heat a deep non-stick pan, add 1 cup of this mixture and 2 cups water and whisk well. When the mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and boil whisking continuously till the mixture thickens.

Step 3

Transfer into serving bowls, garnish with almonds, pistachios and saffron. Serve warm or cold.
