Ingredients
- 4 frozen masala mackerels (bangda)
- ¼ cup semolina
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoons oil
- A few onion rings
- 2 lemon slices
- 1 sprig fresh coriander to garnish
Method
- Mix semolina, rice flour, salt and red chilli powder in a plate.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Remove the frozen marinated mackerels from the packet and roll in the semolina mixture.
- Put them in the pan and shallow-fry. When the underside turns golden, turn them over and cook the other side similarly. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange them on a serving plate. Garnish with onion rings, lemon slices and coriander sprig and serve hot.
