How to make Bacon Tarts -

Ingredients for Bacon Tarts Recipe

  • Bacon strips as required

  • Hung yogurt ¼ cup

  • Spring onion bulbs , finely chopped 2-3

  • Spring onion greens , finely chopped 1-2 stalks

  • Green chillies , finely chopped 1-2

  • Salt to taste

  • Crushed black peppercorns to taste

  • Lemon juice 1 teaspoon

  • Chives , finely chopped for garnishing


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C.

Step 2

Line individual silicon muffin moulds with bacon strips and place them one on top of the other. Line one silicon muffin mould with aluminium foil, fill it up with pebbles and place it on top the rest of the moulds. Place this stack on a baking tray, place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and demould.

Step 3

Take hung yogurt, spring onion bulbs, spring onion greens, green chillies, salt and crushed peppercorns in a bowl and mix. Add lemon juice and mix well.

Step 4

Put some yogurt mixture in each bacon tart.

Step 5

Serve immediately garnished with chopped chives.
