Ingredients list for Apple Cake
- 4 Medium apples (650 gms) peeled, thinly sliced and mixed with lemon juice
- 115 grams to grease Melted butter
- 4 Eggs
- 150 grams Sugar
- 150 grams Refined flour (maida)
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
Method
- Preheat oven at 180º C. Grease a square cake tin with some butter and dust with a little flour.
- Break eggs into a mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater till a little frothy. Add sugar and beat till light and fluffy.
- Add apples. Sift together refined flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add melted butter and mix well.
- Pour the batter into the tin. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, cool down to room temperature, cut into big pieces and serve on a serving platter.
