Ingredients list for Apple Cake

  • 4 Medium apples (650 gms) peeled, thinly sliced and mixed with lemon juice
  • 115 grams to grease Melted butter
  • 4 Eggs
  • 150 grams Sugar
  • 150 grams Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder


  1. Preheat oven at 180º C. Grease a square cake tin with some butter and dust with a little flour.
  2. Break eggs into a mixing bowl and beat with an electric beater till a little frothy. Add sugar and beat till light and fluffy.
  3. Add apples. Sift together refined flour, baking powder, salt and cinnamon powder into the bowl and mix well. Add melted butter and mix well.
  4. Pour the batter into the tin. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 50-55 minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven, cool down to room temperature, cut into big pieces and serve on a serving platter.
