Ingredients list for Ande ka Halwa
- 4 Egg (anda) yolks
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- 1/4 cup + to garnish Mixed nuts , chopped
- 2 tablespoons Semolina (sjji)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
- 1/2 cup Khoya , grated
- 1/2 cup Castor sugar
- a pinch Saffron
- 1 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add mixed nuts and roast till fragrant. Add semolina, mix and roast for 1-2 minutes.
- Beat egg yolks. Add vanilla essence, beat again and add to the pan. Keep stirring.
- Add khoya and castor sugar, mix well and cook till the mixture thickens.
- Add saffron and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with mixed nuts and serve hot.
