Ingredients for Wheat Germ Kheer Recipe

  • Wheat Germ crushed 1 cup

  • Milk 2 tablespoons

  • Raisins 1 tablespoon

  • Cashewnuts 1 tablespoon

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Milk 2 1/2 cups

  • Jaggery (gur) grated 1 cups


Step 1

Heat ghee in a deep pan, add wheat germ and sauté till a nice aroma is given out.

Step 2

Add raisins and chopped cashewnuts and sauté for two minutes. Add milk and cook till the wheat germs are cooked and the kheer thickened.

Step 3

Add green cardamom powder, mix and take off the heat. Add grated jaggery and mix till it dissolves.

Step 4

The jaggery should not be added while on heat because it may cause the milk to curdle. Serve hot or warm.
