What is the best thing one could rustle up in a hurry when hunger pangs are unbearable? The first thing that comes to mind is pasta! Believe it or not, it is the mainstay dish of all those who want a filling meal in a jiffy. What fascinates most food lovers is that it is available in a multitude of shapes, colours and now even flavours. The variety of shapes, sizes and designs include tubes, ribbons, spirals, shells, bows and wheels. Pleasures of pasta!

Ingredients for Warm Farfalle Salad Recipe

  • Farfalle (bow tie pasta) 1 cup

  • Baby tomatoes 20

  • Corn kernels boiled 8 tablespoons

  • Olive oil 3 tablespoons

  • pickled pitted green olives 12

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Onions finely chopped 2 medium

  • Fresh basil leaves a few

  • Broccoli separated into florets 1 small

  • Salt to taste

  • Balsamic vinegar 3 tablespoons


Step 1

Cook pasta in 2 cups water. Heat 2 tbsps oil in a non stick pan. Add corn and cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes.

Step 2

Halve baby tomatoes and olives. Add garlic to the oil in the pan, mix well and sauté till burnt. Mix olives, tomatoes, onions and corn-garlic mixture in a bowl. Tear basil leaves and add.

Step 3

Add broccoli florets to pasta, mix well and cook till al dante. Add remaining oil, salt and vinegar to the bowl. Drain water from cooked pasta and broccoli and add to bowl. Mix well. Serve immediately.
