Ingredients list for Very Low Fat Brownies
- 1 cup Refined flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Soda bicarbonate
- 3 tablespoons Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- 1/2 cup Skimmed milk
- 3 Eggs
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Oil
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C. Grease an eight-inch square cake tin lightly.
- Sift the flour, soda bicarbonate, baking powder and cocoa powder into a bowl.
- Break eggs and separate whites from yolks. Whisk the whites with a hand blender.
- Add a little caster sugar and whisk till stiff. Add milk to the flour mixture.
- Add oil, vanilla essence and mix well. Add the egg whites and fold in lightly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake in the preheated oven for twenty to twenty five minutes.
- Set aside to cool. Slice and serve.
