By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Jun 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Prawns, Rice Cuisine Karnataka Course Rice Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Udupi Prawn Pulao 300 grams Prawns 1 1/2 cups Rice to taste Salt 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 3 Dried red chillies 1/2 inch stick Cinnamon 1 Green cardamom 2 Cloves 3 tablespoons Oil 2 medium Onions,finely chopped 1/2 cup Green peas 1 cup Coconut milk Method Slice the prawns horizontally into half. Sprinkle salt and turmeric powder and mix. Grind red chillies, cinnamon, green cardamom and cloves with a little water to a fine paste. Heat oil in a pan. Add onions and sauté till lightly browned. Add rice to the onions in the pan and sauté for two minutes. Add green peas and the marinated prawns and mix. Add the ground paste and mix well. Add coconut milk and stir. Add two cups of water.
