Ingredients list for Turkish Lentil Rice

  • 2 cups Parboiled rice wash and wiped
  • 1/2 cup Lentils
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Pressure cook the lentils for four whistles or till get soft and get mashed.
  2. Heat butter in a non stick pan, add risoni and fry them till brown in color. Add the parboiled rice and saute for two minutes.
  3. Transfer the rice along with boiled lentils in a pressure cooker. Add salt and sufficient water.
  4. Cook till three whistles. Serve hot.
