Ingredients for Tropical Fruit Kebab With Chocolate Dip Recipe

  • Peaches 1 1/2 inch cubes 5

  • Plums 1 1/2 inch cubes 5

  • Apple 1 1/2 inch cubes 1 large

  • Pineapple 1 1/2 inch cubes 2 slices

  • Bananas 1 1/2 inch cubes 2 large

  • Kiwi fruit 1 1/2 inch cubes 1 medium

  • Honey 1/4 cup

  • Lemon juice 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Dark chocolate grated 1 cup

  • Golden syrup 1/4 cup

  • Cocoa powder 1 tablespoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch dissolved in two tablespoons of milk 1 tablespoon

Method

Step 1

Soak the wooden skewers in water for half an hour. Skewer the fruits in this order: apple, peach, kiwi, pineapple, plum, banana, and apple. Use up all the pieces similarly.

Step 2

For the dip, heat dark chocolate, golden syrup, cocoa powder and milk in a pan. Let it boil then put it to simmer for ten minutes. Thicken with cornstarch. Set aside.

Step 3

Marinate the fruit kebab with honey, lemon juice, salt and oil. Heat a griddle and grease it. Place the skewers and cook till the fruits get charred from the sides. Place the skewers on a serving plate and pour the chocolate dip over and serve hot.
