Ingredients

  • ½ cup sweet corn kernels, boiled
  • 2 cups cream-style sweet corn
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • ¼ small cabbage
  • ¼ medium carrot, finely chopped
  • 4 cups vegetable stock
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons corn flour

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a non-stick wok.Add the cabbage and carrot and sauté on high heat for one to two minutes.
  2. Add the cream style sweet corn and mix well.Add the vegetable stock and mix and allow it to come to a boil.
  3. Mix the pepper powder with two tablespoons water and add to the soup along with the salt and mix well.
  4. Add the corn kernels and allow it to come to a boil again.
  5. Mix the cornstarch in two tablespoons water and add to the soup and cook till it thickens.
  6. Serve hot.
