How to make Spiced Strawberries -

Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for Spiced Strawberries Recipe

  • Strawberries 20-24

  • Orange Juice 2 cups

  • Star anise 1

  • Sugar 6 tablespoons

  • Green chilli 1

  • Hung yogurt 3/4 cup


Step 1

Heat orange juice in a non-stick pan. Add star anise, 2 tbsps sugar and whole green chilli.

Step 2

Put hung yogurt in a glass bowl, add 2 tbsps sugar and mix well.

Step 3

Half fill shot glasses with yogurt and keep them in a refrigerator to chill.

Step 4

Hull the strawberries, dice them and put them in a bowl.

Step 5

Remove the green chilli from the orange juice and discard, add 2 tbsps sugar and cook till the juice gets concentrated.

Step 6

Pour this mixture over the strawberries and let them soak for 10-15 minutes.

Step 7

Top the yogurt mixture with the spiced strawberries and serve.
