Ingredients
- 1 cup soya granules
- 1 cup green peas
- 1 1/2 cups skimmed milk
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 8 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 3/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
- Soak the soya granules in milk for an hour. Heat a pan, add oil and add onions. Sauté till lightly browned.
- Add garlic and cook for a minute. Add ginger, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder and red chilli powder and two tablespoons of water.
- Stir and cook for two minutes. Add peas and one-fourth cup of water and mix well. Cover and cook till peas are nearly done. Add soya granules along with the milk and cook till almost dry.
- Add coriander leaves, salt, garam masala powder and lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot.
