During the 18th and 19th centuries, the Americans developed a number of new foods.  What characterised the American cuisine is the adaptation of a fusion of multiple ethnic cooking styles. During this period food production and presentation became more industrialised.

Ingredients for Sesame Seeds And Chocolate Cookies Recipe

  • Sesame Seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Refined Flour 1/4 cup

  • Butter 5 tablespoons

  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup

  • Vanilla essence a few drops

  • Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy with an electric beater. Add vanilla essence and continue to cream.

Step 2

Sift cocoa powder and refined flour into a bowl and add to the creamed mixture. Mix with light hands to form a dough.Cover with a cling film and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes.

Step 3

Take the dough out of the refrigerator and divide into equal portions. Roll into balls and flatten slightly.Place the flattened discs on a baking tray lined with silicon mat. Sprinkle sesame seeds on each cookie.

Step 4

Keep the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for fifteen minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool down to room temperature. Serve.
