By Sanjeev Kapoor 20 Jul 2020 in Recipes Course New Update Advertisment Main Ingredients Refined flour, Butter Cuisine British Course Breads Prep Time 31-40 minutes Cook time 21-25 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Scones - SK Khazana 2 cups Refined flour 3/4 Butter cut into cubes A pinch of salt 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder 2 tablespo + for sprinkling Castor sugar 1/4 cup Milk Egg wash as required Cream cheese to serve Jam to serve Method Sieve flour in a bowl, add butter, salt, baking powder and castor sugar. Mix with yourfingers till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add milk and knead gently into a dough. Wrap it incling wrap and keep in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes. Preheat the oven at 180˚C. Place the dough between two parchment sheets and roll into a thick disc. Cut out small roundels with a cookie cutter and place them on a baking tray. Apply egg wash on top of each scone and sprinkle castor sugar over them. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Take the tray out of the oven. Transfer the scones onto a serving plate, halve each horizontally, apply cream cheese on base half and apply jam on top.
